Mehron Partners with 

Spanish Designer Toni Francesc 

for 3rd Consecutive Show

Bold colors dominated the runway last night as Toni Francesc presented his Fall/Winter 2011 collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center.  Mehron Makeup was proud to work with Francesc for his 3rd consecutive NYC fashion week show. The collection was titled "Garuda" which is an interpretation of the Phoenix, a mythical eagle-sized bird with red plumage that is said to burst into flames only to rise from its ashes every 500 years. The Mehron team was keyed by Jackie Mgido, a celebrity makeup artist whose work has been featured on major TV networks and in editorials such as ELLE Magazine.

Mgido created a custom blood red lip color inspired by the fire of the Phoenix by combining Mehron’s Velvet Rose and Raspberry L.I.P Color  and topping it with Clear Glosstone for shine.  "For the eyes, we wanted to create a dramatic look that also represented the bird," said Mgido. "I used Mehron’s Feather E.Y.E Lashes to create this look, along with Black Onyx E.Y.E Powder and Slate Grey E.Y.E Cream blended on the lid to represent the ashes."  Mgido then used Mehron’s Black Detailz to further define the eye.

For a flawless matte finish on the skin, Mgido used Mehron’s Celebre PRO-HD Foundation along with the ProColorRing Concealer. Francesc did not want a lot of color on the cheeks, so Mgido just contoured them with Mojave and Wine Berry CHEEK Powder. The look was finished with Barrier Spray to set it for the runway. The Mehron Makeup team consisted of Mgido and six artists who transformed a total of 15 models.
