With all the driving I do, I listen to books in my car along with getting in a few minutes before I lay me down to sleep. I probably “read/listen” to about 3-5 books a month both fiction and non-fiction and there are a few authors I think are interesting and worth reading more than one of their series. One is Diane Mott Davidson and her culinary mystery series with the heroine (Goldy) being an unlikely caterer and her very 21st century family. Ms. Davidson mixes recipes with murder and comes up smoking hot.
All her books have fun names too…like Killer Pancake, Death by Chocolate, the Cereal Murders etc…and as business owner and woman who likes to cook, raise a family, have fun, exercise, they involve a woman just like me, who struggles and juggles life’s situations. When all else fails, Goldy cooks! The author does include lots of great recipes too! If you are on a constant diet, you may have to pass on this series because not only is the reading delectable but so is the food she makes! Enjoy the read…at least “it “is not fattening…but definitely rich!
